Pack 50 Annual Food Drive

Soon we will kickoff the Pack 50 annual food drive. Please mark your calendars with the following dates:

Saturday, April 17th - Bag Drop Off

Saturday, April 24th - Food Pick Up - 9 AM start - 12 PM end of drop off

Bags and fliers will be distributed at the April 15th pack meeting to each den leader. Den leaders- please elect a person to accept the bags on your behalf if you will not be able to attend the pack meeting.

Below are some general Food Drive guidelines to share with the boys:

Full Scout uniforms should be worn (red vests not necessary)
Politely refuse any cash donations, checks, etc. as this violates BSA policy
Boys should work in groups of two or more, with adult supervision at all times (adults need not go door to door)
Boys should stay in sight of an adult at all times and NEVER enter anyone's home under any circumstances
Distribute bags to residences only on your route, no businesses or areas with controlled access
Leave the bags on or near the front door where they will not blow away, not in mailboxes
Be sure to go back to every house where a bag was left, as donations not picked leave a bad impression

Remember: PLEASE remind the boys that they represent Scouting to the community. Make a good impression. Be polite if you speak with any homeowners. No screaming, yelling or otherwise disturbing the community.
